Botanical name: Cupressus sempervirens
Cypress essential oil is most often used in massage blends because it is commonly known to reduce muscle contraction and menstrual pain. Also it is known for strengthening connective tissue, blood capillary walls and the circulatory system plus reducing cellulite. It may decrease scar tissue, be beneficial for asthma and reduce nervous tension. Cypress isn’t the most pleasant smell, blending it with other essential oils is best.
Blends well with: Bergamot, Clary sage, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, and Orange.
