Sage

Botanical name: Salvia officinalis.
Sage in historical times was known as “herba sacra”, which means sacred herb by the Romans. Salvia is derived from the word for “salvation.“ The Lakota Indians used sage for purification, healing and to dispel negative emotions.

Sage helps balance male and female hormones in general. It is also wonderful for the skin. It strengthens the vital centers of the body and supports the metabolism. Emotionally reduces depression and mental fatigue. Also well known for menstrual problems, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone deficiencies. Medicinal properties include hormone regulation, antifungal, antiviral and a circulatory stimulant.

Warning: Sage should not be used if you are pregnant, epileptic, have high blood pressure or on infants. It is too potent.
